I read this (at TheServerSide), and I thought it was interesting.
Of course the 'pattern' is used by many developers in all kinds of situations. It is a good thing that some one has finally described this as a 'pattern'
But the author does not go far enough. I would like to see the other types of things usually described with patterns, such as 'Advantages and Disadvantages', 'Consequences', and 'Alternative Patterns' which can be used to solve the same problem. Also, you could give examples of some public web sites that use this pattern.
For instance, Google does not use this pattern. Yet Google has exactly the same problem (You submit a query and Google displays the results. You will want to use the browser back button to get back to the same page that was the response to the query which was originally submitted).
