Hi Group,
I am new to the world of J2EE. I am just trying to define and deploy a simple EJB. The bean seems to deploy without any problems, but when I run the client accessing it, I get the following error:
java.rmi.RemoteException: ; nested exception is:
weblogic.rmi.ServerError: A RemoteException occurred in the server method - with nested exception:
[java.lang.NoSuchMethodError: weblogic.ejb.internal.EJBHomeImpl: method findMethodInfo(Ljava/lang/String Lweblogic/ejb/internal/MethodInfo; not found]
at examples.ejb.demo.DemoBeanHomeImpl_WLSkel.invoke(DemoBeanHomeImpl_WLSkel.java:61)
at weblogic.rmi.extensions.BasicServerObjectAdapter.invoke(BasicServerObjectAdapter.java, Compiled Code)
at weblogic.rmi.extensions.BasicRequestHandler.handleRequest(BasicRequestHandler.java:69)
at weblogic.rmi.internal.BasicExecuteRequest.execute(BasicExecuteRequest.java:15)
at weblogic.kernel.ExecuteThread.run(ExecuteThread.java, Compiled Code)
--------------- nested within: ------------------
weblogic.rmi.ServerError: A RemoteException occurred in the server method

[java.lang.NoSuchMethodError: weblogic.ejb.internal.EJBHomeImpl: method findMethodInfo(Ljava/lang/String Lweblogic/ejb/internal/MethodInfo; not found] at weblogic.rmi.extensions.AbstractRequest.sendReceive(AbstractRequest.java:76)

at examples.ejb.demo.DemoBeanHomeImpl_ServiceStub.create(DemoBeanHomeImpl_ServiceStub.java:121)
at examples.ejb.demo.DemoClient.main(DemoClient.java:38)
My Client code where it falls over is as follows:
Context ctx = getInitialContext();
DemoHome dhome = (DemoHome) ctx.lookup("demo.DemoHome");
System.out.println("class obtained : " + dhome.getClass().toString());
System.out.println("Creating Demo\n");
Demo demo = dhome.create();
...
I am running weblogic5.1 sp9/j2ee1.2.1/jdk1.3
Thanks in advance for your help.
Ron

Does weblogic 5.1 support J2EE V1.2?

Hello "ron rc",
I'd like to ask you to change your display name as it doesn't quite comply with our naming policy.
Thank you and welcome to the 'ranch!
