Hi All,
I have an application that sends a mail in particular format..
This application is a standalone one and resides in multiple client location. All the mails get into a common id (suggestion@bbbb.com).
Now I need to have a listener at one place(server) and receive all the mails , process the message in the mail and store in the database.
Could anyone help with the information of how this could be done in Java.
Anu

A good start would be to take a look at JavaMail...

I spent the summer looking at commercial E-Mail Response Management products and they all periodically pick up mail from a specified set of mailboxes, write messages to a database for safe keeping, and pass them on to subsequent processing queues. I wouldn't bother looking for another architecture. The JavaMail client bits ought to do fine for the "pick up" step.
