Developing a Container Managed Cache

+Pie Number of slices to send: Send
All,
I am wanting to simply develop a Container Managed EJB which would be a persistent cache from a DB. The Cache would automatically refresh once every hour. Could anyone offer me an example of how to do this common solution?
Thanks in advance,

PS I am using JBoss 3.2.1 for the app server with Tomcat and JDK 1.4.2_01.

Um, that would not be a container managed bean. There's no way to make the beans refresh like that, at least not in a spec-compliant way. If you want to build a cache like that, I'd recommend you do that with POJOs (Plain old Java Beans) instead.
