I am looking for an article/link with good guidance through the myriad of terms in the Java world.
Starting with this forms' sub caption: EJB, JMS, JNDI, JCA, JTA, etc.
Specifically, the etc What are these fruits?
Also, a comparison of what/who/when/where of J2ME, J2SE, J2EE, what is the origin of these terms and what do they mean.
I have some picture in my mind that EJB builds on J2EE which is on top of J2SE and J2ME. Where are the borderlines? What makes something a J2EE app vs. J2SE.
I started reading Ed Roman's book on EJB (BTW, this is a great book) and I feel I am missing some clarification of terms.
Talking about the book I have another question, I hope you can address this as well. I read appendix A where Ed lays out a quick RMI-IIOP and JNDI tutorial and I am wondering what is the difference from RMI vs. RMI-IIOP other then using JNDI?
Thanks in advance,
Leslie

I would offer that java.sun.com holds the answers to most of those acronyms.
