Hi Bill,
What is your take on using Hibernate vs CMP in any application server for persistence? If and when i run into some project that requires transparent persistance w'd you recommend hibernate henceforth?. Is it stable enough to recommend to the top management after evaluation?
thanks.

Hi Karthik,
After reading the article that Pradeep recommended you will have a really good idea about the benifits of using such a tool.
Depending on your company TopLink might be a good choice too. Its got big backing (now owned by oracle) and works well in app server deployments.
That said if you can use open source at your company Hibernate is a great choice. It is very good and the abstractions are well thought out and the programming model is solid. All in all a very cool tool.
Hope this helps.
