Dear all,

I have 1 year experience in Java/J2EE..Working in a small concern.

I am a sun certified java programmer..I am sincerely trying for a job in some big concern.

But everybody is asking for atleast 2+ exp.I am strong in java / j2ee

So here is my question : There is a career service called "Resume zapper" in timesjobs.com.It costs around 1000rs.. If we suscribe that they will send our resume to 1300 placement consultants.

Is it worthy to subscribe to that service by paying 1000rs.Will i be getting interview calls !!!

In addition some more job sites also offering such schemes like naukri, monster and jobs ahead.Which one seems to be better?

Anybody subscribed that scheme !!!

Your suggestions are welcome !!!

I am talking about Pune City..As far as i know Infosys & Amdocs are two giants which are recruiting for 1 Yr.Exp. People.
In Amdocs you have to work on Supports project if your Exp. < 2 Yrs.

I don't think there is any point in subscribing to a mentioned service. You can wait for another 1 Year evenif your company is small. Rather you will get more exposure & experience in a small organization which is required initially.

It was also with me.
Wait and find job yourself. Register in Monster.com, Jobesahead.com, Naukri.com, and Timesjob.com. Send your resume daily to posted job. Prepare yourself as per market demand.

Try-Try one day you will succeed

By the way Bala, why do you want to leave your present employer.
Working with small company will give you much more exposure then big companies(like TCS,INFY,Wipro,CTS,Satyam,HCL),where most probably you will be on bench for few months, and if at all you will get work, you will not be on high learning curve

No,

They will just fwd your resume to 1300 clients but they wont be able to arrange 1300 interview for you, And how would you come to know that whether they have forwarded to 1300 or 100? Its a trap, concentrate on your current job and keep patience.

cheers,
Rish

Even though 1000 rs is not a great amount and you could probably spend that it would not help much. At 1 years of experience you do not have much to show. Better approach is to work for 1 more year if possible with the same company enchance your skills. If you projects do not give you lot of exposure, learn yourself. Always try to apply the technologies that you learn to real-life projects. For instance think how you could implement your current project or some other projects that you know in these technologies. What are the pros and cons, etc. Thinking on these lines will help you improve your analysis and design skills. After 2 years you will have lot more bargaining power when you show good skills in the interview.

If its absolutely necesarry for you to change jobs, this service won't help much. Try to get some references.

No point paying Rs 1000/- for forwarding your resume and that doesn't guarantee you interview calls. The www.naukri.com, www.monsterindia.com provides plenty of consultant contacts.

Bala ,

Paying 1000 Rs is not a great deal but that wont guarantee you anything . So dont pay to anyone .

You can forward your resuem to me . Please check your Private message .

Having 1+ Yr exp. in Java + SCJP Certification can give you a job easily.

Bala, if you are in a small developement company...you are a lucky man.
you will have ample opportunity to learn. utilize those opportunities.
learn the work first .....dont be hyped or see the dream to work in bigger organization...they have very rare developement work... TCS,IBM,WIPRO,CTS,SATYAM etc are all in the same category.

you have got a good opportunity to learn and use that....very few people gets this opportunity.....trust me.
