I know of only one reliable site for Salary data. Its called javaranch.com.

After all its real people providing real data. You will find loads of threads on this.

Moderator, If ppl are willing to share data anonymously on years of experience, skillsets, location and salary. Can we collate these using some tools and present on the site? What I mean is, currently the data is in the form of threads, can it be done programatically and presented properly using some software from the site (built in survey tools ?)..

Any supporters for my idea???

yeah... even i think, its good....

I think, we can create a separate section under "Jobs Discussion" called "Indian IT Companies" where we can create separate threads for each company and under each thread, we can put info about any of the companies we know about...

We don't have tools for that. If someone wants to build or find one, maybe it's something we can offer (post in the JavaRanch forum to discuss this).

actually, might be a nice concept for a website....
All you would need is for people to enter (anonymously) location, experience, primary skill and approx income.
