I think Sun's has a reference implementation model for J2EE, is it a document or a application server? if it's a document, where to find it?

I would think a reference implementatation was an implementation.
I'm sure I can point you to the specification.
It may be that the 1.3 RI is part of the j2ee tutorial. The 1.4 says you need to download a beta copy.
Apache/Tomcat claims to be the RI for the web container.

Hello !
It is an implementation/Application Server.
The previous version (1.3.1) can be downloaded at:
http://java.sun.com/j2ee/sdk_1.3/
The brand-new Final Release (1.4) can be downloaded at:
http://java.sun.com/j2ee/1.4/download-dr.html
