Is it suggestable to write a jdbc code from stateless sessionbean with the database? Will it be a costly mistake if i contact cmp entity bean here? my entity has database access though.
What i am trying to do is trying to validate the user. user enters info thru login.jsp which in turn will call loginservlet which in turn will call my stateless session bean.
Thanks in advance

I don't see any problem with your approach. We also use the stateless to validate the user. Session sure will expire if the valadation through JDBC takes longer than the predefined session timeout though.
