Hi, I'm using the J2EE Component Wizard to create an EJB project. The tool creates DB tables for me in MySQL, however, I don't believe the DB integrity is preserved (linked). 1. Does the J2EE container manage this integrity for me? 2. Is it recommended that I create the DB manually and make sure it's preserved 3. Does it even matter when using J2EE? Regards, Matt

Matt, Which IDE are you using?.....It could be an IDE related problem, so posting in the IDEs forum may get you more replies. I think in most of the practical J2EE applications, we create database tables using scripts before deploying the EJBs.

Thanks for the reply Vish. I'm very new to J2EE but I was just fiddling around with the J2EE component Wizard (which I'm quickly growing sick of). I could be wrong, but it doesn't seem to support composite keys. There's also no documentation for it. I'm currently downloading the jBuilder trial now to give that a go.
And then we all jump out and yell "surprise! we got you this tiny ad!"
