Is there a way to use JAAS (Java Authentication and Authorization Service) with mysql or other Database??

You can apply JASS to pretty much any piece of Java code, so you could authenticate the user making the JDBC connection if you wanted.

If you are using JAAS just make sure you are using a web server that supports 2.4 of the servlet spec (tomcat 5). Tomcat 4 supports 2.3, and they havent included the logout functionality in that, so the only way to log one person out a JAAS and log in another person is to shut down your browser and open a brand new instance. As for using mysql, you can put in a setting into web.xml that tells it what class to use for verification, and you simply point it to a class that you write yourself that handles the mysql thing
