Where does hibernate excel?

1.Does the Generated query perform a lot better
2.Does Hibernate have a better caching strategy than say weblogic CMP, CMR with optimistic concurrency and cache-betn-trx with only Local beans.
3.If there is a different datasource that is sharing the same DB, will the hibernate caching layer recognize that as well?
4.Does hibernate deal with relationships a lot better than Weblogic?
5.Is the hibernate's deployment desc easier to set up than EJB's
(say i use XDoclet in both cases)
6.Do developers feel more at home using hibernate's query language than EJB-QL?
7.Is it easy to get the actual DB quesries that hibernate fires against the DB? How easy / difficult it is to wade through the generated queries and figure a problem?

These questions are just out of curiousity..if somebody could give me some pointers, it w'd be great.

thanks.
