Hi,

I have few queries about Stateful Session Bean Passivation mechanism.

1. When the Session bean be passivated? ( It has mentioned that when there is no client calls, the container calls the ejbPassivate() method, but is there any configuration parameter is available for this).

2. Similary is there any configuration parameter for bean timeout() in the passivation method specifically?

3. How the container identifies the Client? (In the prev post it has mentioned that Handle will hold the client information, EJB Object will have the handle information).

Thanks & Regards,
M.S.Raman

For 1 and 2 , app server will provide some configuration. For example BEA does that. 3 is implementation dependent, they may some sort of id.
