Dear all,

I am new to EJB but I know there are different types of EJB: Entity Bean and Session Bean. Additionally, Session Bean is further categorized into Stateful and Stateless. Could anyone explain to me the difference between and use of them. Could you have any good reference that is suitable to the beginer as a first step to learn EJB?

Thank you very much

Regards,
Joe

Hi Joe,

I've just finished writing a book that gives a nice, easy introduction to what and why the components of J2EE are, including EJBs. Explanations and a little code. "J2EE: The Big Picture". http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/0131480103

If you then want to go on to learning to do some coding, then you'll want "Head First EJBs" from Kathy and Bert. http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/0596005717

I don't get it. A whale wearing overalls? How does that even work? It's like a tiny ad wearing overalls.
