I have tried search this before, but I am a bit cant believe it.

Plain Old Java Object?!~~~ How come new EJB spec will use old stuffs... If in such case, it just simply like what the old JavaBean idea!!! This is my first feeling.

JavaBean is just used to hold data, with a less, or even no business logic!

I am not familiar with EJB 3.0, thus, maybe there are some magic that wrap the POJO, and provide the business logic!

Hi,

I don't know anything about EJB 3.0; I've pinged my distinguished coauthors to take a look at that question. The book is the big picture for J2EE 1.4 and related specs. But hey, lightweight sounds good.

Yes it is. You dont even need to import javax.ejb.* classes.
