Hi,

Is there any Application server which hosts both EJB & COM component?
And can both these components talk with each other?
I think it wont' be that efficient, but i think there would be a requirement in the future.

I do not know any server which hosts both COM and EJB components but you could Web Services for communication.

I had the same requirement A groupware components talking to App server.
My approach was to introduce Value objects and Bussiness delegates in the form of POA's CORBA and locate EJB locally for processing. I found it quite efficient and serves me for huge chunks of data exchanges.
I feel comm on RMI-IIOP though locally placed components would hamper the performance.

Hi,

Thanks somkiat & MG for ur reply.

As COM talks about language independency , it should be possible to communicate through Java .(The only method i know is through JNI) Is there any other method, please do guide me.

But how do i call a EJB component through COM..

Somkiat said about Web services, could you put more light on it.
