How much should be the % of variable component

There are certain companys who offer hefty pay packages but 30-40% of that is variable component. What should be the ratio between fixed and variable component.

In the US it can range anywhere from 0-10% for companies with a standard bonus practice to 10-60% for consulting firms to 20-500% for financial services firms (but you need to be pretty senior to start getting above 100% bonus, especially if you're not in the front office).

In India it normally varies from 5% to 10%. There are companies like Infosys which have variable pay around 30%
 
With a little knowledge, a cast iron skillet is non-stick and lasts a lifetime.
