How can I call ejbs from swing based application  RSS feed

Our team is just started one projected that is based on
distributed archetecture.
But our client is not ann nay browser rather than it is java based client.
We have three tier arch. I just want to know that I want to if I have swing based
gui and I want to call some EJBs residing in the server then, how I call these ejb's
from swing application.

Hi,

Yes u can call a EJB component from java swing. As the code thats call a ejb component can be placed anywhere in applets,jsp... only thing is that u have to include the specific jar files for compling your client application.

Hi Vikas,

Whether we call our EJBs from JSP client or Swing based client, the process of same. Just write the code for looking up ur Home and Remote stubs in ur swing classes and populate GUI's fields.

1. Create Initial Context.
2. Lookup Home.
3. Get remote class from home.
4.
