i am using bmp. i am having an instance variable in the Entity Bean. In the finally block of the ejbStore i am making this instance variable to null for garabage collection. Is this the correct procedure for gc.

1. new jvms using reference from root to determine if object should be garbage colleted or not. so you only need to take care of the parent object
, bmp in your case.

2. for EJBs, we don't need to worry about garbage collection. actually J2EE container will do pooling, passivating and activating and of course garbage automatically

Hope it helps clearing you mind
