Hi all:

I`m trying to relate two different applications, feching information from one to other. What is the best way to do it ? I think perhaps EJB, or Web Services. The point is not to have the two apps too much related, in order to be maintained by differents teams.

Thanks®ards

if it is not too much related and maintained by two different teams then i think web services would be better. wait for some other replies. somebody else will definitely come up with some reasoning.

hi,
It depends upon how much the two systems are different. If the two systems are completely different then according to me you should go for web-services otherwise you can use ejb and maintain a database mapping. There will be performance difference between ejb and web-service(I guess this will be a lil slow as it has to do file IO).

cheers

Hi,

the systems are both J2EE, so the better solution will be use EJB. But I`ve made a test, and I can acces to an EJB situated in a different machine. I`m using WAS 5.0, and I dont know how to configure the server to seach the JNDI name in anothar machine. Any help?

Thanks®ards
