Hi,

Ideally email sending should be asynchronous. But only EJB 2.0 supports MDBs.
If we donot use EJB 2.0 for assigment, how can we support asynchronous messaging?

Hi,
Email doesn't depend on MDB's and on any version of J2EE.Emails are sent asynchronously.

If you can't use MDB's you can use JMS Server Session Pools, which do the same thing for you; a pool ofobjects listen asynchronously to new messages on a queue.
