How can measure the number of activates and passivates that the container is performing on my ejbs. I am using JBoss.

Never worked on JBoss!, but does'nt JBoss ship with a console (like weblogic) based on JMX that displays the required information on a per bean basis?

if you want to view performance of activities on JBoss , you can use JMeter and JView.

Yes JBOSS has a JMX console which displays all the Mbeans running but not the metrics.
