Hi Guys,

I just want to know how entity beans (CMP/BMP) persists the data into database. for example, we have a data entry interface which is quite lengthy and user has to go so many screens to enter the complete data (like a wizard kind) and if after half way thru' the connection gets lost.. will the CMP/BMP keep storing/updating the data time to time so that the next time user comes online, he/she does not have to re-enter the data?
if entity bean does update database automatically to avoid the lost of data.. then please tell me what is the machenism it does so and whether it is done by CMP / BMP?

hope i m clear in my question
regds

Most of your questions can be answered by reading your server's documentation. Generally, if you set a property, it's persisted to the database immediately unless you're fine-tuning how the server persists entity beans. (It goes along with the definition of a transaction).
