Hi all,

I am implementing a custom transaction management in a non J2EE enviroment, I was looking at taking the JTA Apis and start implementing the same but that is too advanced and not required in the present context. but here are some doubts that came into my mind while looking at the JTA API...if any one can provide a good insight it will be great.

1. Are there any implementations available for JTA?
2. how does a Server / or a JTA implementation "create" a UserTransaction?, because what we do in a J2EE environment is create a UserTransaction through the JNDI Look up. what would be interesting to know is what happens in the background.

Thanks
Raj
