How do you connect a webserver with weblogic application server so that the webserver just delegates the req to appserver and serve the html pages to the client.?

My point here is we should not expose our apps server to the outside world all the requests should be served by webserver..What do you think are the disadvantages of exposing an apps server to outside world?(a different way of asking the same question )

Shanmuga,
You connect the web server to the app server through a web plugin stored on the web server. Weblogic should generate it for you.

I agree that it is better not to tell the outside world about the app server. It provides you with more security and allows you to freely change the app server without having to notify everyone.

It is sorta covered in the JavaRanch Style Guide.
