We have a Cold Fusion based project in production which gives a lot of problems, specially when any new update or addition is to be done. We are exploring ways of re writing the whole application in J2EE, based on MVC pattern using Struts. I want to present this argument to my boss and the clients on advantages of using these technologies. Where can I find some good reference material in this regard....or please let me know your opinions on this....thanks in advance.

Hello Seshu,
Here are a few hints:
-java allows for separation of content and business logic; ColdFusion does not.
-J2ee is open: you can choose your implementation; you can't with ColdFusion.
-There are a trillion things you can do with j2ee that you can't do with ColdFusion.
-Last hint: look at the market share of J2ee compared with CF's one.
I am sure you will convince your boss and clients.
Best of luck,
Julien.
