Is EJBHandle anything to do with stateful sessionbean to maintain state of an remote object?

EJBHandle is a persistent reference to session bean. The handle could be persistted and used later by the client application. The handle has nothing to do with the state of the stateful bean , the state is maintained at the server side. EJBHandle is a client side thing.
