I am planning to take SCBCD in Jan next year. I have just started to read your Head First EJB book. When I tried to run the first example ( AdviceBean one) I'm getting javax.naming.NoInitialContextException. I got the AdviceApp deployed in Sun application server 8. I had no problem in deploying it. Before deploying it , I did verified the application for J2EE complaince. It did say, there were no failures and I got it deployed successfully. When I tried to run the client , I got the above mentioned exception. ( JNDI name: Advisor) . Could you help me to fix it? By the way , I gained much from your Head First Servlets and JSP and I scored 85% on the SCWCD. Hope to hear from you soon.
