Hi All,

I use Weblogic 8 , Win 2000 , Struts , EJB ( Bean Managed persistence- BMP), design patterns like DAOs(Data Access Objects) and Data Transfer Objects/Value Objects ( DTOs/ VOs). IDE is Eclipse.

* Buisness methods written in Entity Beans require the data from ActionForm.
* So , I made helper class which look similar to ActionForm to pass as an arguement to EJB business methods.

Can these "helper classes" be called Value Objects/Data Transfer objects ?

What's the best way to send actionForm data to Entity Beans ???
thanks
- Anand.

Anand,
Yes the helper classes are Value Objects/Data Transfer objects. In particular, a VO/DTO is one with only fields (and getters/setters), but no logic.
