Generally ejbPostCreate() is used for setting up references to other existing beans, bcoz relationships can not be established before. & u could also perform other kinds of initialization.

ejbPostCreate() method is basically used for refernce to other beans,Suppose ur using two beans in ur project,And u want the initialization of one bean throgh second bean,or u r using second bean as a reference there,Then u can use ejbpostCreate().B'coz there may be some relationships between the two beans.
