How the Work environment will be?

Hi Ranchers,
I am working for a MNC in INDIA. I got H1 Visa Approval and i have to attend visa interview shortly. I have applied for H1 visa through a consultancy in USA. After i go there, i will have to search for a job. I am looking for JAVA based project. I have around six months experience in a Maintenance Project based on core JAVA (Telecom Domain). I have joined the present organisation as a fresh graduate from college. I have fairly enough knowledge in Core Java. I know the basic functioning of Servlets , EJBs.
I have no idea about the Work environment there in USA. I am feared if i will be able to work on new Technologies.Please suggest me some important concepts which would be useful there. Please let me know about the work culture in USA.

It is not at all a good idea to come to USA with only 6 month experience that to in a consulting company.
If you are very prompt in showing lies in your resume then you may get a project.If not you will end up with nothing.
So good idea is to have some good experience in India and then come to USA.
Truely speaking it is very difficult to clear the interview if you will tell the truth that you have only 6 months of JAVA experience and it is also difficult to clear the interview if you will show in your resume some false experience.
So think twice before taking any decission of coming to USA with this experience and with a consulting firm.
I feel it is always better if you can come to USA through some Indian service provider Company though you have less experience also you will not have problem.

I totally agreed with Jolly, producing fake/false resume or expereince may lead you in trouble.

I suggest you to be in India for 2 years atleast and then try to move in USA. and yes ofcourse if you are moving out from an Indian Outsouring firm, then this is the best scene to fly.

Working in US is comparatively easy when work in india. You just have to work 8 hrs per day. and you will have lot of plenty time if ever you want to learn any new technologies after your office hours. If your communication skills are good, then I can definitely sure that you can do well.
I have seen several of my colleagues who came from India and worked here for 6 years also struggle because of lack of communication and because of their 'NO Interest' in learning new technologies.

You may struggle but its really worth it! or sometimes things go very easy.

As a consultant almost all companies will expect minimum 3-5 years experience. SO having 6 months experience will not help you unless you have to change your resume. But even then it would be tough to clear the interview, since it would be real time questions.

I would sincerely advise you to atleast work in India for another 2 years, gain some experience and communications skills, and then try to go to US.

But the final decision is yours.
