I am attempting to install
J2EE 1.4 on a Windows system, and it won't go. It ends in an error. It refers me to the installation log which contains, close to its bottom, the following message:
ERROR -- Exception modifying JDK location file.
Does anyone have any idea what this means? I have removed everything
Java from the system, and have reset all the environment variables, but the messages persists. Even after uninstalling before trying again. Even after deleting the directories before trying again. Even after a fresh boot. I'm bewildered.
