Some doozies here. My favorite:

Q: Difference between Swing and Awt?
A: AWT are heavy-weight componenets. Swings are light-weight components. Hence swing works faster than AWT.

Oh yeah. Make sure you memorize that one.

Welcome to JavaRanch.

Please use a meaningful subject line that expresses your specific issue, for reasons explained here. We have lots of other useful tips for asking questions on JavaRanch as well.

My first advice to You is dont prepare for the sake of interiew, you should get that by experiance in the projects you are working on.

I normally ask this question in interview to the persons having 1 to 3 years of experiance.

1. Name any few methods that all the classes have in common ?
2. Whats the difference between wait() & sleep()

Once I got a funny answer for the second question. "Sleep method makes the thread to sleep exactly for the specified amount of time and the wait method does it with some tolerance, ( the thread will sleep after some time ) " !!!

Always follow technical forums which will be helpful for interviews and you will gain good knowledge too.

I seen very good questions in sites like: www.javaranch.com, www.jguru.com, www.javaworld.com. these sites are useful for knowledge and even useful for interviews.

Hey, Shiri didn't specify that he needed accurate answers to the questions!
