This week's book giveaway is in the Java in General forum. We're giving away four copies of Beginning Java 17 Fundamentals: Object-Oriented Programming in Java 17 and have ishori Sharan & Adam L Davis on-line! See this thread for details.
I must say I owe a lot to Javaranch for the guidance it provided in the initial phase and later in my professional career. In particular, the Jobs Discussion forum priceless since it provides inputs from many die-hard ranchers, from different companies and different locations. I personally have taken many decisions while job hopping from Javaranch (and always found the comments posted here to be true regarding the culture, payscales, etc. for any company). Since the new rules have come in force, which don't allow to mention company names, it is very difficult to find information reg. any particular prospective company. I know Javaranch holds the right to enforce any rules which it seems fit. But please consider ranchers like me who totally depend on Javaranch for guidance on these topics (I admit I don't have a large social circle). I tried searching on the net for similar forums but was disappointed not to find a single one which could match Javaranch. I request, Javaranch please consider people like me.
We're glad to help. There are many good reasons we allow the discussions of specific companies--and many of those reasons are for the good of the community, including people like you. For specific reasons, please see the prior threads on this topic. We don't want to open yet another thread, so I'm closing this one.
