how many ways to set timeout in stateful session beans. by using setTimeout method we can set it.It is possible to set in deployment descriptor

Check your vendor's documentation. You will find a vendor-specific means for determining how long the stateful session bean instances remain in cache and remain on disk after passivation, and the rules for removing an instance from the cache (such as least recently used and not recently used).
