I finished one project, now I want to deploy to different application servers. I want to build a ear ant script.

My question is , do I need to write different xml file for different servers ? or just one for all ? I think it should be one for one server , but which file should be created ?

Thanks.

Edward,
You are correct that you can use the same build.xml file to create an ear for any app server. The actual deployment process is different of course.

I'm not sure what you mean by "what file should be created" ? You create an ear file, right?

Thanks, Jeanne.

The thing is this, do we need to build a application-jboss.xml for JBoss, application-orion.xml for Orion ... ? These different xml files should be packaged into ear file ? Or, we just need an application.xml for any application server ?

Thanks.
