PortableRemoteObject.narrow

Hi,
I know what we use PortableRemoteObject.narrow to get an IIOP client.So can i assume that if i use a plain type cast as (ABCHome)ic.lookup I will get a non IIOP rmi Home client.If yes, how am i able to use the Home i got use the plain down cast to communicate with a bean deployed on a server that uses IIOP( ex. Weblogic 8.0).

Hi William,

Modern containers don�t use stubs anymore; they rather use dynamic proxies that get generated at runtime. Clients also take advantage of the dynamic class loading feature provided by RMI in order to download the proxy and access the remote objects. Try some googling if you want to know more about dynamic proxy and dynamic class loading. Usual container documentation doesn�t provide much detail about it.
