Hi all,

I'm new to EJB. I followed the instructions in Mastering EJB to create a simple "Hello, World!" program.

I successfully deployed my jar in weblogic. But when i tried to run the client application, i get the following error

Exception in thread "main" java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: HelloClient

Please help me in running my client application successfully...

Thanks in advance......

Check your paths properly. Check if you have set the application root. And that the client class path is proper.

This is before calling the EJB. The problem is more of paths than EJB itself.

Hi,

I was able to run the client successfully from Eclipse. But when i try the same from command prompt, i get the above mentioned exception.

client classpath:

c:\bea\weblogic81\server\lib\weblogic.jar;c:\j2sdk1.4.2_03\jre\lib\rt.jar

c:\bea\weblogic81\server\lib\weblogic.jar;c:\j2sdk1.4.2_03\jre\lib\rt.jar

...which does not contain HelloClient. Add the directory your HelloCliebnt class is in, and you should be all set.
