Hi all,

I have about 12 years of experience and have been in US for about last 6 years. Now that I have decided to relocate back to Bangalore, I have got job offers from the above companies.

Please let me know your experience with three companies and which one will offer a better long term prospect.

I am looking for senior tech positions in Java/Enterprise s/w areas. The above positions are ranging from Snr Architect to Principal Member Tech staff.

Job wise, I find the Co A better in terms of opportunities, but others lead in employee benefits including salary, insurance, perks, ESOP etc. I am not very convinced of the job in Co B as it seems to be more of product support/enhanement and may lack in opps to work on various technologies. In Co C, its for a large ongoing project, and I am not very convinced about the exact role. The interviewer himself said that the role may not be "extremely challenging"!

So the whole thing looks more favourable to Co A, but alas, they offered the least compensation! Also I hear that work culture in Co A is not comparable to that of US based MNCs. I would like to know your feedback on the same.

Jeevan.

Co A is one of Top 3 Indian IT companies
Co B is one of Top 3 IT Companies in the world
Co C is one of Top 3 Consulting Companies

Hello,

Company names are not allowed as per new guidelines. The thread will get closed. The names were visible in the Heading earlier

I guess you have modified it now.

Prefer the product development company in your offer list as they may be able to pay you more compared to service based companies

Not much I can say about others.Experts on the ranch may be able to throw some more light

Since you are not mentioning the companies name can you please mention the salary they are offering?
Sorry I am not in position to advice you, as you are far more experienced than me.

Yeah, I had mentioned the company names earlier and realised that it is not allowed.

Regarding you advice on the product co, the only advantage was in compensation. Work and career prospects are limited. Also many of their products are just "me too" types. I am not convinced about their popularity or useability. Also technologies involved are pretty archaic, even though there is a bit of Java around.

Salaries are in the range of INR 20-25 lpa. No big differences. Eventhough perks seemed to better in the consulting co.
