hello,

so the problem is that the work is too difficult for you (or too much, which is pretty much the same)?

When you have a lot more money than you need you could pay someone to consult you or even do a part of your work. That appears to be the way, if you want to keep up the facade of having much experience.

hello,

do you think you could talk openly about your problem with the people at work? Not like "I am not as competent as I had claimed, it was all a lie!" but like "I need a little more time to adjust to the internal work processes and to the technologies used here."?

hello,

so you want to know how you can improve your skills in the mid term? I have a suggestion for a learning path that would help you at least in a couple of months.

It is hard for me to say if you really have a problem or if you are just hard to yourself. Maybe they find your current performance good. I am not an expert for the IT business in the USA, but I think when your income is closer to 2000 than it is to 4000 USD per month, then they should not expect too much.

One thing to note.
It's "Swing", not "Swings".
There is no 's' on the end.

Have you been honest with the consulting firm that placed you?
In otherwords, did they know exactly what your skill level was before putting you in that job?

Let me tell you one funny thing , I have noticed that people those who are willing to work in the US ,are not getting H1B ,but people who are not willing to work are getting H1B easily without much of trouble.
God help the consulting firms.

Sumaraghavi Ragha : Not pointing anything to you.But in your condition I would have tried for an MS from US of A ,rahter then H1B and H1B would have automatically followed my way.

At best, that's misleading advice. There's a lot of factors that influence H1B approval and a Masters degree does not automatically guarantee a H1B visa. Besides, getting a Masters from a good school is in itself a big venture, in terms of time, effort and expenses.

An agency that's willing to lie so egregiously about your experience is either showing great confidence in you or is morally bankrupt. And since you lack self-confidence, odds are on the moral bankruptcy.

I recommend that you take advantage of whatever the position offers, but start distancing yourself from these people as fast as possible. The labor market is not so tight that any honest vendor would have to use such tactics, so most likely you're being exploited.

And if they've gone that far, there's no telling what else they may be doing or planning, up to and including criminal activities. You'll probably do far better to disengage from them as fast as is reasonably (and safely) possible and find a more honest representative of your talents.

Majority of Indian consulting firms follow this path.To many people I talked here they say "You have to exaggerate to certain extent, otherwise its not possible to get a job in US"

I agree with you that there are many other conditions to be met in order to get an H1B after MS.I answered considering the posters learning intensions.

This is something one should not.Is it not? I also know some of my friends been to US through consulting firms. They have also been projected with fake experience.

I agree with Tim Holloway , One should be away from such people.
