I couldn't get the initial context in my client code. if i try to do so it throws an NamingException stating that there is no initial context defined in environment. What is the class that works as JNDIFactory in J2EE1.4 RI server so that i could manually pass that value to the InitialContext class on load.

can anybody help me out in this.

Did you try appserv-rt.jar?

Yes. I tried out That jar. I found that ORBImpl class and passed it as an environment property to the initial context class but now a ClassCastException occurs.

What must be the name of the property?
Or, should i include some other JAR files in the class path too?

It is sorta covered in the JavaRanch Style Guide.
