VO's,DAO's and IVO's

can any one help me in understanding a bit more about VO's,DAO's and IVO's

VO = "Value Object": typically a data-only bean used to transfer stateful information between other objects.

DAO = "Data Access Object": Used to handle object transactions between an application and a datastore.

I don't know what an "IVO" is (haven't heard of it); this question probably should be moved from the beginner section to the OO/Patterns forum or something a little more advanced...

Sounds more like J2EE 'Design Patterns' stuff. I'll move it over to J2EE.
