hi, I'm working on a web application with heavy use of EJBs on Weblogic8.1. The initial loadtest(10 concurrent users, Weblogic8.1 on Win2003, and Oracle10g on linux) on a QA environment tells that: for most webpages of database read operation, the average response time is within 300 ms with an average 30TPS, and for most webpages of db database write operation, the average response time is about 500ms with an average 25TPS.

is this kind of performance acceptable? should I redesign the business transaction to improve performance?

any help appreciated!

on our QA environment, there's only a single Weblogic instance on Win2003 server.
