Hi,

When I tried to compile the java programs from first chapter of Head First EJB, I got complier error message "javax.ejb does not exist" from the program line "import javax.ejb.*;". I have installed J2EE 1.3 and included "D:\j2sdkee1.3.1\lib" into my CLASSPATH. by the way, compiling a pure java program is fine to me. Did I still miss anything? Thanks,

John

Including a directory (like D:\j2sdkee1.3.1\lib) in your classpath is no good if it contains jar files, you need to include the individual libraries (i.e., jar files) that are in that directory in the classpath.

do you know what specific jar file I need to include in CLASSPATH? I include j2ee.jar, but it still didn't work. Thanks,

I am able to compile it, I need to add one more entry "J2EE_HOME" in my System user vaiable.
