Hi Prakash,

It depends whether youre using the beas jDriver for SQL server, or the MS driver. We are using the second one though and Im explaining you how you can install it (for the beas driver you have to dig on beas site). First you need to make the next three libraries available to your server instance:
msbase.jar, mssqlserver.jar and msutil.jar. In order to do this, you have to edit the startWebLogic and startManagedWebLogic startup scripts and to modify the servers CLASPATH. In our scripts were using a POST_CLASSPATH variable, in order to load all application specific libraries. Something like this:

Second you need to get in touch with the DBA and ask him to provide you the next db configuration information: the name of the server where the db is running, the port number, the db instance name, and a valid username and password.
Third you have to start the wl admin console and under the Services/JDBC/Connection Pools click on the Configure a new JDBC Connection Pool... link. From the Database Type drop down menu chose Other and hit the Continue button. Now you are ready to configure your new pool:

Hit the Test Driver Configuration button and you should receive an appropriate message. If the driver class could not be located, then you need to set your classpath again (editing the startup scripts) and make sure youve specified the correct path to your MS SQL Server libraries. You also have to make sure that the connection pool was deployed to all servers in the cluster.
Finally you need to set up a Data Source that points to your connection pool.
Regards.
