The kind of select procedure followed by most of the companies especially while mass recruitment drives is that they may not even look into your profile properly due to time constraints. So clearly there is risk of getting lost in the crowd and loosing ones identity and edge.

If you have specific job requirements then is it a better idea to stay away from such selection procedure as you run yourself into a risk of ending up as "just another guy" in "just another job" (considering your current job treats you as "special" due to long term stay in the company - Assuming you need to change due to unavoidable circumstances) What can be the best approach?

Thanks!
Rohit

There is a question in there?

You need to do something that stands out is what I goto from that above. All I know is I get emails asking if I am looking for a job. I guess I did something to stand out.

Or you use Job Boards that are not resume factories.

If your current job already treats you as "Special" why are you looking for other jobs ?? Does that mean you want to be "just another guy" in "just another job" ?

You can assume them as unavoidable circumstances.
Also your job treating you as special (due to long term realtions) and you treating your job as special (job satisfaction) are two completely different things i guess.

resume factories - this word defines the situation the best!

Thanks!

If you are selected in massive recruitment you can discuss with Managers about the available projects and make sure that you will be in the project which you are interested.
