Does anyone know how to dynamically update a JMS Connection Factory address list? If the remote topic I am attached to fails, how can I update the Connection Factory remote address to attach to a different topic on a different machine via Java code and not by the Admin. Console? I would like a universal way of doing this because I need to integrate a number of different vendors, including JBoss and BEA (I have approx. 300 different sites messaging within my enterprise).

Doesn't even sound like a JMS situation, sounds more like some kind of multicast UDP. You could write code to *send* to wherever you want, dynamically, but you'll have difficulty making listeners dynamically choose to shift gears. JMS is rather socket-like in that nature, both parties agree on the communications channel.

If you want to not be tied to a single JMS destination, but you are in an app server that will have configuration info for all the potential destinations, you can use JMX (at least with Weblogic) to troll through them all. That really only helps the sender, doesn't do anything about listeners (e.g. MDBs).
