HI,

I am using CMP2.0 for EJB. & I ve used XDOClet to generate select method which will return max value of a row in Table. I ve heard dat there ars no methods corresponding to select methos are generated in the bean interface clases when we run XDCOLET on Bean. Only the entry of the select method gets added in ejb-jar.xml file in QUERY tag.

Now Suppose i want to use this select method inside client file to get maximum value of record field How should i use it??? How should i invoke that method as that method is not in bean's interfaces classes.

Pls Help me.
Thanx,

Prash

Hi,

You can't access select methods directly (they will never be directly exposed as an available method in the component interface) -

If you want to call a select method to return specific data or a specific Object or even a collection of either then implement a Home business method which accepts certain parameters (your search criteria) and calls the select method with these inputs. The Home business method can then either format the data, restructure it into Value Objects and return the result to the client.
