Default Transaction Attribute

+Pie Number of slices to send: Send
Hi Friends,

I tried to find it on net, but couldn't. What is the default transaction attribute in EJBs. or is it AppServer dependent?

Best Regards

This is undefined in the EJB Specification so it depends on your particular EJB Container and sometimes even on the version of the EJB Container that you are using (JBoss switched defaults between minor releases at one point I believe). For example, WebLogic defaults to NotSupported for MDBs and Supports for other types of EJBs (which is a pretty useless default). Moral of the story, also specify a transaction attribute for your EJBs.

I think in EJB3 it will be 'Required' required by the spec.
